I'm Samuel Larcher — a songwriter based in Australia. For as long as I can remember, songs have been how I make sense of things: the notebook in the drawer, the melody hummed into a phone at midnight, the verse that finally says what a year of conversations couldn't.

I write because a song can hold two truths at once — grief and gratitude, doubt and hope — and somehow make them singable. Every song in this journal began the same way: original lyrics and a musical idea, written by hand, long before any recording existed.

I'm a songwriter first, not a producer with a studio. AI-assisted production lets me take a finished lyric and melody and hear it — fully arranged, sung and mixed — so that publishers, producers and artists can hear the song's potential instead of imagining it from a page.

Every demo here is exactly that: a demonstration. The words, the melodies and the stories are mine. The recording is one possible interpretation, and I'd love nothing more than to hear what a real artist would do with it.

Songs are meant to travel. A song isn't finished when it's written — it's finished when someone else sings it and means it. If one of these songs speaks to you, it's yours to reimagine. That's the whole point of this journal.
