Trapped

I am trapped within a box, Made out of paper, Made out of rocks, Made out of flames, Reaching the sky. And beyond those flames, An endless wall of ice. It's easier than you think, To overcome the wall, You only have to take one step, You might not run but crawl. There is a door I could just open, And once it's open I could escape, To the outside world, To see my friends, To talk to neighbours. To pick my kids up, When it rains. It's easier than you think, To open up the door, You only have to push it once, Don't think about yet what's beyond. If I go through, Rocks would hit me, Flames would bite me, Ice would freeze me, Paper slice me, But then I hear you say… It's easier than you think, To overcome your fear, You only have to take one step, The next will soon appear. Just look at me, Look at my eyes, And hold my hands, Whilst I guide, You out the door, To breathe fresh air. What follows after, You shouldn't care. What follows after, You shouldn't care.
